Now He's Playing With Power

What's up this week in loonygames? Ask our editor.

his evening represented a major event for me...after several years of being the butt of jokes, and after several weeks of waiting for the dang thing to arrive, my brand spanking new PC is up and running.

Why a Sunday, you ask? Well, that's because I was in San Francisco all weekend attending the PGL finals (check out my coverage for AllGames on their website). That event was fun...but like I predicted back when I attended the Frag 2 event two weeks ago, it was a total media event. I'm not knocking it or anything, but it wasn't a LAN party, it was lots of hype. If you regret not going...don't worry about it. You didn't miss anything you can't catch elsewhere. I had a good time, but then...I was part of the media. I'd hate to be someone who trekked cross-country to get there and not be able to do much of anything (of course...I don't think there was anyone there like that...for good reason).

Anyway, I returned home earlier this evening, and there was my gigantic new PC waiting for me. Ooooooh, I love this baby. Look for my review next week in the spectacular return of Geek Toys (which has been waiting for this PC to arrive to kick off again). Until then, I may have a hard time pulling myself away from Sin.

Speaking of Sin, be sure to check out this week's interview, "Blue and Levelord Get Drunk". I can only hope neither one of them are offended by the title. I seriously doubt it. ;)

We've got some other cool stuff for you this week...Josh Vasquez is back after a week's hiatus with a new installment of "Pixel Obscura". Josh had to take last week off because he was too busy with his play, which having gone to see myself last week, I must say, was well worth it. Josh is a multitalented guy...we're lucky to have him here.

Oh, and be sure to check out our new comic strip that starts this week, "Penny Arcade" by Gabriel and Tycho Brahe. It's great stuff. That brings our comics collection here up to a wopping two. Yeap...we're definitely moving up in the world here. "Penny Arcade" will run weekly, by the way, complementing User Friendly which runs daily.

Have to cut this installment short here kids...Sin is calling me. And when it's Sin in 1024x768...you don't ignore it. ;)
