What's up this week in loonygames? Ask our editor.

ell here we are, huh? It's Christmas week here at loonygames, and as for me...well, I haven't done all of my shopping yet. Someone fwap me across the face for that one...I deserve it. :)

We got lots of feedback from last week's Geek Toys Holiday Special, but the most common response seemed to be, "how could you forget about Lego Mindstorms??"

You know, until I got that first letter about this (and I recieved quite a few, believe it or not) I hadn't even heard of these things, and I've got a friend who's completely obsessive about Legos (don't ask...I think it's a bit strange, personally, and I still think my action figures party when i'm not around). So I checked 'em out...and dang these things are cool. Wish someone would get me one of those for Christmas. ;)

This week's cover story is titled, "romuluSngan HoH!" which translates from Klingon into "Kill the Romulan!" in case you were wondering. Yes, I know it's pathetic that I know that, but hey...like I said in the introduction to the interview...i'm a total trekkie. I can't help it.

This week is a short one here at loonygames, as it is Christmas, so you'll just have to wait until next week for installments in our MailBag, Profile, Guest Editorial, and Review sections. Sorry, but that's the way things fell this year. Hey, just be thankful I didn't take a break on all of Chanukah! (Which reminds me...how goofy is this page, anyway? Like anyone really needs an online menorah??)

For those wondering what i'll be doing for Christmas (yeah, I know you're just dying to know) i'll be spending it with my family in lovely upstate New York, which is why there won't be any updates. And yes, for those who really want to know, I am Jewish, but I celebrate Christmas, since, well...it's just so dang convenient. There's only one technical day of Christmas versus the nine you need to take off for Chanukah. :)

So what does this ol' loon want for Christmas? That's easy...Zelda, baby, Zelda. You hear that folks in the industry?? You want to do me a big favor? Score me a copy!! No place I know of seems to be able to get 'em!

Okay, so that was pathetic. Don't mind me. It's late, and I still have one more term paper left to write.

Lastly, this week we've opened up our Art for Sale section here at loonygames. If you're looking for a last minute gift idea, these make great ones. And, of course, the ones listed on the page are only a brief selection of what we have piling up here, so if you've got a favorite cover or illustration, drop me a line, and i'll let you know if it's available. Even if you're not looking to purchase any of these pieces, it's a nice little gallery of some of the artwork that we've run here at loonygames over the last 18 issues, and contains the list of materials used for each piece.

For example, did you know that this image used watercolor, oil pastel, charcoal and colored pencil? Yowza. Cool stuff. I've been admiring all of these originals since before we launched loonygames, and now we're offering you the chance to do the same. Check it out.

So hey, as it looks like i'm out of here for now, have a happy non-denominational holiday!.
