Outside the Box: By Paul "Villam" Steed
Going back to arm 2, if you look at the ‘after’ one it looks like there are some edges divided along the right that could be extraneous. Well they’re there for what you’d call ‘accommodation’. That is they accommodate the flexing of the arm during animation.
In the simplest of terms if your model looks like this…
And doesn’t animate to look like this…
Then make it look like this…
Make every line count Grasshopper. Oh, and have some very merry Holidays, too!
