What's new this week in loonygames? Ask our loony editor.

hee! One more week to go 'till E3 people...are you psyched? You should be...lord knows I am. :)

Next week's issue will be a "classics" issue...i've asked our contributors to send in their favorite articles that they've written, and i'll be running all of them. If you're a long-time reader of loonygames you'll see some old favorites...and if you're a newcomer, well, there's a ton of great stuff from the archives for you.

This week's cover story is one that i've been working on for a looooong time, and i'm thrilled to be able to finally publish it. I went out to Raven to research this piece, and I hope you enjoy all the work that went into it.

The article wouldn't have existed without the help of a ton of people, so i'd like to take a moment to acknowledge them here. Without further adieu, here's the list:

William "Phoebus" Mull: Phoeb deserves a big ol' thanks for arranging my trip out there, and putting up with me while I stayed there. He also set up every one of these interviews, and even managed to answer all my nagging questions during the writing process.

I'd like to thank the following people for taking the time out of their incredibly busy day to let me ask them an insane number of questions: Brian Raffel

Mark A. Nelson
Rick Johnson
Brian Pelletier
Mike Gummelt
Michael Raymond-Judy
Eric Biessman
Gil Gribb
Pat Lipo
James Monroe
Chia Chin Lee
Jeff Butler

Between the eleven of them, they accounted for an insane seven hours of interviews.

A big thanks goes out to Activision's Kevin Kraff for providing me with review copies of several Raven titles.

I consulted a few websites in writing the article...here's a quick list:

Raven-Games.com
Ravensoft.com
GameFaqs
Hexenworld
HereticII.com
Siege
Soldier-of-fortune.com
Heretic Manual

And of course, I constantly referred to the manuals for all the games mentioned in the article. Thanks to Raven for making manuals that more often than not actually contained some useful information. :)

So what are you waiting for? Go read it! I'll be back after E3 with a big ol' report...stay tuned!
