From the Mouth of Madness:
Back...and exhausted

ell, it's over! Boy oh boy did I see a lot of stuff...you can check it all out over at our multi-part E3 coverage page. I saw literally every single first person shooter at the show, along with tons of console games, a bunch of RPGs, some RTS titles, and jeez...just about everything else as well.

No real surprises were at this year's show...there wasn't any title that came out of nowhere to generate lots of buzz, and there was tons of PR people around attempting to stir up support for every game around, even the really bad ones (it was kind of fun watching people try to promote sheer crap...although I did feel sorry for some people).

For the full scoop, swing by my complete E3 report. I'll be updating that throughout the week. For a special treat, check out Penny Arcade at E3, the PA kids' mini-strips from the show. I had a chance to hang out with them, and I have to say...they're identical to their cartoon counterparts. Kind of scary at first, but ultimately a lot of fun. :)

Speaking of Penny Arcade, our Artwork for Sale page now features original artwork by Michael Krahulik. These pieces are pen & ink originals of penny arcade strips, and are totally awesome. Since he works in black & white and colors his work digitally, any originals purchased will be accompanied by a high quality color reproduction of the printed piece.

Speaking of B&W, look for my E3 in Black and White pictorial to run on Friday. I brought along my 35mm camera this year, and came back with a ton of cool pictures from the show floor, all in glorious black and white.

As I'm still recovering from E3, that's it from me for this week...but check out all our great E3 coverage! If you couldn't make it, this is the next best thing.

Until next time...stay loony!
